​Terms & Conditions

Our delivery and installation services are subject to the following terms and conditions*.  Please read carefully prior to approving your estimate, and don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions:
  • Any remaining balance must be paid in full before trees leave the lot.
  • CALL BEFORE YOU/WE DIG.  It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that ALL underground utilities are identified and clearly marked prior to installation.  Failure to do so may result in postponement of installation services. 
  • We require advance notice if a customer is planning to be off site at the time of installation.  All planting locations must be communicated to our team, and clearly marked prior to the arrival of our installation crew. 
  • ​Machine installation requires a minimum access of 7' and a flat, clear path to the planting site.
  • If machine access is deemed insufficient upon site inspection, an alternate means of installation will be arranged, where possible.  Please note that additional fees, and/or a delay in scheduling may be required, depending on the type/availability of staff and equipment needed to complete the job.
  • Manual installation requires access greater than 36", to accommodate our tree dolly and most root baskets.
  • Due to size and weight restrictions, the largest tree our dolly and/or crews can handle for manual installation is 50mm (deciduous) or 7' (coniferous). 
  • We do not offer manual installation of potted tree stock.   
  • Movement of any tree into a previously dug hole qualifies as installation, and will be charged as such.  Please note that our fees for installation services vary, depending on the size of crew and type of equipment required.
  • Additional services, such as tree staking, watering, and drip line irrigation materials/installation are not included in our installation fees.  Arrangements can be made to add these services to your job for an extra charge.
  • In the unlikely event that Stewart Tree Farms is unable to complete installation by any means in a safe and effective fashion, the customer has the option to: a) request a refund for installation service alone, and arrange for trees to be planted by themselves or another service provider; or b) request a full refund for purchased tree product, plus delivery and installation, in which case all trees and equipment will be returned to our lot.
  • Stewart Tree Farms is not liable for any damage incurred to a customer's property during delivery or installation.  Such property includes, but is not limited to: grass/sod; mulch, trees and other plant material; driveway/sidewalk/pathway; house/garage/shed(s); deck/patio; yard structures such as pergolas and gazebos; playground equipment, swimming pools or trampolines; irrigation system components, or any unmarked line or underground utility.

*Please note:  Stewart Tree Farms reserves the right to refuse service due to inadequate site conditions, access limitations, safety concerns, etc., at the discretion of the owner and/or crew lead.  ​
